What data will be extracted from the receipts?

The information extracted from receipts includes the following:

1. Mandatory Datapoints

When a user contributes a price, they have to mandatory submit below datapoints for the contribution to be accepted as valid.

  1. Receipt ID:

  2. Phone Number of seller: This helps in marketing Bolbhav product to the receipt owners whose receipts are contributed by a peer.

We generally consider that a receipt uploader would be different from the receipt seller. So when an uploader is uploading a receipt with a seller phone number, we send a referral link on WhatsApp to the seller given they are not already registered on Bolbhav and have not been referred by the same uploader in the past.

These detailed receipts are then manually entered into the Bolbhav app by contributors, followed by uploading the picture of the sales receipt. Each mandi may have its unique receipt template, adding complexity to the data capture process. Hence, each contributed receipt is validated for its authenticity and accuracy.
